2002 Laurence J. Hoey Laurence J. Hoey, 101, Bradenton, died Jan.
29, 2002. He was born May 13, 1900, in Whitefield, N.H., and came to
Bradenton in 1965 from Laconia, N.H. He retired as an electrician. He was
a life member of KnightsColumbus, Council 428 and Veterans of Foreign
Wars, both in Laconia. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He attended
Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church in Sarasota. Survivors
include a daughter, Ann H. Johnson of Bradenton; a sister, Betty Leahy of
Laconia; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and
great-great-grandchildren. There is no visitation planned. Committal
services will be later at St. Lambert Cemetery in Laconia. Brown and Sons
Funeral Home, 26th Street Chapel, is in charge.

Hoey Belmont-----Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Hoey, 78, of 13
School Street, died in Laconia on Friday, July 27, 2007.Mrs. Hoey was born
November 3, 1928 in Belmont, N.H., the daughter of William H. and
Charlotte (LaFlamme) Fogg. Mrs. Hoey was a communicant at St. Joseph
Parish. She worked in the EKG and EEG Department at Lakes Region
General Hospital from 1976-1986 and was the head librarian at the
Belmont Library for seven years, retiring in 1993. Mrs. Hoey was a
member of the Belmont Historical Society. Survivors include three
daughters, Kathleen A. Lavoie, PhD, of Plattsburg, New York, Jane E.
Kidder, RN of Laconia and Ann D. Jewett of Laconia; four sons, Laurence R.
Hoey of Laconia, William J. Hoey of Belmont, Richard P. Hoey of Florida
and Peter M. Hoey of Gilford;; fourteen grandchildren; seven great
grandchildren; a brother, Richard Fogg, of Belmont; a sister,
Phyllis J. Hoey, of Belmont and several nephews and nieces. In
addition to her parents, Mrs. Hoey was predeceased by a sister, Madeline
J. Pike. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Parish, Main Street,
Belmont, N. H. on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at 10:00AM. Burial will follow
in the family lot in St. John Cemetery, Tilton, N. H. In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St, Joseph Parish Altar
Society, PO Box 285, Belmont, NH 03220. Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home
& Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H. is in charge
of the arrangements.
